Hi y'all!
So i was testing the low-light of my brand new iPhone 15 pro and i noticed these purple dots. i hope its not dead pixel because that would really suck since this is my 5th pro :/ i finally found one with no dead pixel on the screen and no cosmetic damages...
Could be hot pixel? Might be a bug on ios 17.4? because they weren't there last night before updating :/
Anyone knows what could it be?
thanks in advance

They look like hot pixels to me since the dots are in the same places on two of the photos. The first one must have been zoomed in because the pattern matches the middle section of this photo.

It’s not unusual for cameras to have hot pixels though. If you’re going to scrutinize your phone that closely, you’ll always find something that isn’t perfect… Are you normally taking pitch black photos? Do they show up on regular photos?

Both shot with the main sensor. No zoom/crop

Yeah I’m aware of that. It’s just weird that there’s so many. For example my sisters 14 pro max doesn’t have any :/ mines looks like I took a photo of a starry sky 🤣😅

Not really haha was just testing the camera to see if it was working properly.
They only show up when I use night mode. Not so much in dimly lit room tho. only a huge 1 on the upper right corner of the photos…
The one huge hot pixel or whatever it is wasn’t there before the update :(

Can someone on iOS 17.4 take a photo with the main camera in completely dark room?
Thanks in advance
