[This thread is for purple lovers only ;)]

I would go absolutely nuts for a purple stainless steel iPhone 13 Pro. Purple is my favorite color and, if you examine the renders of it, it looks incredible IMO. The purple iPhone 12 is nice, but a purple iPhone 13 Pro with stainless steel edges and a darker, matte back would be breathtaking.

I think there are 2 main reasons that the next iPhone Pro models could conceivably have a purple option.
  1. The "special color" has gone from green to blue. In the visible spectrum, purple is next.
  2. To honor the 10 year anniversary of Steve Job's death, whose favorite color was purple.
If they go with orange instead or purple I'm gonna lose my mind. 🤢 I usually upgrade my iPhone every year getting 256 GB, but if the purple is released I might be a little reckless and grab the 1 TB version and hang onto it until it doesn't get OS updates anymore.

What y'all think?

Purple Pro/Pro Max variant will be fantastic. Have the 11 Purple. Pale, wish it was brighter.

Purple would be good but the new flagship color is bronze/copper like.
Hopefully not :<

People have made renders of it but I don’t think there’s any serious, credible evidence yet that that’s the color they’re going with.

P.S. what does your username mean? I’ve always wondered. Is it read “the yay are a livin’”? wus dat mean

I’d love to see a Product Red Pro model. Red is my favourite colour, but there’s never been a flagship iPhone available in red on launch day, so I’ve never owned a red phone.

I think Apple will continue to be somewhat conservative with the color of the pro models going forward.

Not expecting purple to be a pro color, but if it was, no way would it be that vibrant as the render you shared OP. The shade of purple on a pro model would be faint, almost grayish.

What for, the 13 pro and 13 pro max?
Correct! iPhone 13 or 13 Pro Max or Apple may call it iPhone 12S.

That's what I've heard for the next iPhone as well, there's a few renders floating around that look good, though it makes the gold seem a little redundant?

Who said that where? Bronze?

I think it looks pretty exotic and premium.

That’s correct! But that’s what the rumors are saying. Apple is not playing around with leaks anymore. U know what happened with MacBook Pro and iOS 15, so tight lipped but Apple will definitely surprise us.

Haha, this is how you say my username:

The-Yay-Area-Living

The yay area is slang for living in the Bay Area such as San Francisco or Oakland.

This article explains further more where the origin of yay area came from. Happy reading :)

Since I’m buying the M1 iMac this year. I was going to skip the iPhone 13 pro Max and upgrade to the 14 pro Max next year. However, if a purple 13 pro Max came out. I would highly consider upgrading this year just to get that color.

Hah, I've also wondered how to properly pronounce your name/the origin of it, thanks for the clarification there.

On-topic: I would love to see flagship colors adopt more of the color spectrum but I would imagine the coloring process of stainless steel isn't a super cheap one (I don't think it's anodized like titanium or aluminum), they may be worried that they won't move enough units of different colors. Apple also seems to stick with very classic colors for their flagship, maybe just due to the fact that they're proven and the color looks correct, but I fully agree that a purple stainless steel would look fantastic.

Yes. Pro lineup does require colours. I have a gold 12 Pro Max. Want a more solid gold colour instead of the current off white shade. The stainless steel sides are fantastic though.

I would buy this immediately even if it was at the end of the cycle for fear of it becoming discontinued in the next model.

I keep seeing the rumored "bronze-copper" also. "Sunset Bronze" (some fancy name)
We'll see, that wouldn't be my choice personally. IF a rumored Jet Black, Space Black Matte (like iPhone 7), yeah...that is tempting!

First time I went from black, space gray in my iPhones to a Pacific Blue this year. Nice little change.
May go back to black for the next one.
