Purplera1n installation was quick and went fine, i got to the 'installing cydia' part and the progress bar froze towards the end.
The status said 'Finished!' but this was not the case.

Now my iPhone (3GS) is stuck in DFU mode.
Any ideas on how to get it out?
The button presses dont work, and iBrickr cant detect it.

I really dont want to restore it, i have my backup but -_-

If you want the phone work again you need to do a restore
than do a back up on your 3GS

You don't have to RESTORE - if you are stuck in the restore mode (where you see the plug in itunes screen).

Use a PC computer.

download quickpwn 2.2.5. Start quickpwn with the iphone with that itunes connection screen plugged in. Simply hold down the home and SLEEP/WAKE button for over 13 seconds. When you see the phone restart with the apple logo, let go the buttons. It will allow you to access your phone again.

There's no need to restore anything even if the purplera1n RC1 fails. Simply just do the quickpwn method on a PC and it will bring your iPhone back.

After it has fully restarted, simply go to your TASK MANAGEr, kill the quickpwn.exe processes. That's it.
