So I recently upgraded my 3GS from a JB 3.0.1 to JB 3.1.2 using blackra1n. I tried setting up Gmail's push option and it drained the battery super fast. I disabled the push feature and installed PushGmail (the app I previously had running with 3.0.1 alongside Gmail's push function). It drained my battery normally and I was happy.

Then I went ahead and installed the PushFix from Cydia. The PushGmail app stopped working! I tried going back to Gmail's push function, but it still drained my battery like crazy. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the PushGmail app, but it still doesn't work.

Has anyone had anything similar to this happen to them? Are there ways to fix the Gmail push battery drain? Is the PushGmail app problem common (how about after installing the PushFix from Cydia)?

Thanks.
