Fetch is supposed to retrieve data at certain intervals, while Push will retrieve the updated data immediately (even if the app is closed) . And "manual" setting will retrieve the data only when you open the app.

On both my ipad and iphone with iOS 5, the Notes app and Reminders behave just like they are set on "manual". Even if I set them to use push or fetch.

Do the push work with the Notes and Reminders ?

FETCH, PUSH and MANUAL are just for e-mail. You will get an alert for reminders at the time you've set them for. There's no type of alert for notes--why do you need them?

Ok. More details and some screenshots :

Whenever I make or add some text to notes, when I open the Notes app in my other iOS device I see the older text version not the updated one. Then the app will connect to the internet and then after 2 seconds the new text version will appear.

But what if I opened the app in a place without internet ?
It would be better if the Push function will update the Notes and Reminders even without opening the Notes app. That is the description of Push, no ?

And so I thought - this must be because it's set to manual or Fetch - not to Push. But with Push it does the same thing. And if you look at the pictures - you will see you can set Push for Notes, and Reminders not only for emails.

Update : I just made a test. I made a reminder in iphone. I said - remind me in 3 minutes. But my ipad was closed (in standby). The iphone ringed after 3 minutes, the ipad no.
I opened the ipad and the Reminders app - I waited and after 2 seconds the new reminder appeared.

SO this seems like a bug because it behaves just like Manual or Fetch. Probably like Fetch because I remember if I make reminders for the next day, the ipad will remind me as well.
