Hi

I've had my iPad now for a week and I have noticed that my MobileMe email doesn't push even tho it is set to it. Emails only come in when it checks for email on schedule or manually.

My iPod touch was like this also.

Does it only push when on 3G? Like how the GPS only works when 3G is switched on?

Yet mail on my Mac gets instant pushed mail without having to check....so what gives?

Besides that, loving iPad. The ability to print to the printer connected to my airport would be nice like.

I found this annoying too. What the iPod touch (and I assume the iPad WiFi) does is that it powers off the WiFi when in standby. Since you have to set a "pull" interval of 15 minutes being the low end, it flips on WiFi every 15 minutes (or whatever the interval you set) and checks for new mail and (in turn) new notifications. However, if you're using the iPad (browsing, playing a game, whatever) and an email comes in (or push notification), it will be pushed.

So only the cell-enabled devices have true push notifications. Le sigh.
