I've searched the other threads yet I still can't find the answer. Simply put, do you absolutely need to enter the imap prefix for the yahoo "push" to work?
The reason I ask is this: I've set up my yahoo account on the iphone two different ways as an experiment. I did the guided setup through the iphone using the Y!Mail prompt. My account was verified and I could see every folder in my account on the phone including the ones I setup. Inbox, Sent, Draft, Trash, and personal folders. All listed and accessable. Push sometimes seemed to work, but it wasn't immediate.
So then I added the imap prefix. Now, the only folder I can see on my iphone is the Inbox. But the push and imap server response seems to be mirrored immediately on the phone and server.
So...is it a choice? Either get push/imap quickness, or access to all my account folders? Which would you choose? Will we get the full account folder access on the apple server sometime? Does this make any sense? Why are we here? What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
