I have all notifications on. I have deleted and reinstalled the app and I only get push notifications for comments. When I get emails I do not get push notifications. I have removed in reinstalled the app etc. I only use badges. Any ideas?

I'm not sure why you keep re-installing the app. Clearly Facebook is having issues with their notification server for the iPhone app.

I tried it once because some people have no issues.

on the actual website have you been into the settings there to make sure you have all notifications turned on? I think that if they are not turned on there they will not come through regardless of the setup on the iPhone.

I think its a well known issue that the facbook push system is horrendous right now, very unreliable. Give them time and few updates to hopefully get their act together.

I have noticed that the FB app on my iPod Touch is pretty unreliable when it comes to push. Meanwhile my BlackBerry gets nearly instant push notification of things I have set to send notifications on. Kind've sad because overall the iPhone/iPod Touch FB app is a lot better than the BlackBerry one except for push.

Doesn't work well for me. I get emails fine, so whatever. I imagine that after a few more updates they will be just fine.

I can only imagine how many billions of push notifications their poor server(s) have to handle each day.

after a few days of push from facebook i decided to stop using it. the emails are enough. and the battery reduction from regular push kinda puts a downer on it imo.

I'm not getting all of them via SMS on verizon either. It's stunk for the last month - and sometimes posts i send that way take HOURS.

I hadn't decided if it was FB or Verizon having the issues.... I haven't updated the FB app yet, so i haven't tried the Push to see if what i get/don't matches the SMS issues i'm having.

That might be interesting.....

Seems mostly ok to me, does drop the odd notification though. Only thing that annoys me is no sound when a message is pushed through, just a message on screen which is useless if the phones in your pocket...
