Push issues if Jailbroken? Or if it's Unlocked?

I remember hearing there was push issues where people would start getting your push notifications etc.

I can't remember is that because it's jailbroken. Or is this an issue when it's unlocked? In my case I just jailbroke I did not unlock it as I am staying with ATT

Push notifications are only a problem if you've 'hacktivated' your phone. (Meaning you would be unlocked)

This doesn't affect you.
