Is this happening to anyone else?

I definitely have Push Notifications turned on as well as the settings for the individual apps done correctly, but I'm not getting anything.

The only app that makes me care about these working is AIM. Not having that is ruining an otherwise perfect experience.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

My yahoo email isn't pushing either.

Anyone else having? not having problems with push notifications and or email push (yahoo / me emails) ????

Any get aim push to work ? I still do not get any push nitifications on my ipad. Have the update aim as well and all settings correct . Any chance this could be a hardware issue ? Should I do a full restore? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Rich

Are you getting none at all?Assume the wifi ipad would behave like the ipod touch regarding push notifications i.e The device will only receive notifications when the screen is on or the device is on charge-as soon as the device goes into standby the wifi shuts off to conserve battery life and consequently you lose a data connection.

My gmail has push via googlemail server.

If your ipad is not charging, you can get push while using the ipad. On sleep mode you cannot get push.

If your ipad is charging, you can get push while using the ipad. On sleep mode you can get push also.

I have two email accounts set up to push to the iPad and I had to shut off notifications because it was getting annoying. Hearing the little "ding" at 3AM when the iPad is on my night stand was the opposite of useful. As to not working, I've had no problems. It's worked since day one and stuff comes through fast and reliably. I'm running a wireless N network from an Apple Time Capsule.

i tested push email works, i tested find my ipad and sent a message and that works. AIM is still not pushing on my IPAD i have the newest version and all...
Can anyone else confirm if they are having issue with AIM PUSH ? if it works post a screen shot because i tried everything and its not working at all and i ran out of ideas.

Works here...

AIM push seems to work well for me. I agree with everyone else that says you don't get push notifications while the iPad is sleeping, but as long as I'm actively using it the IM's seem to be coming through just fine. In fact I got two while writing this post.

I have found however, that sometimes the connection doesn't reset itself very well if you keep AIM connected at all times. I set mine to log me off an hour after I close the app and haven't had a problem since. Just have to remember to log back in every once in a while.

Hope this helps!

Neither Nimbuzz nor Fring is working with push, so that makes it hard to use google voice to dial an outgoing call.

Push is working for me with Gmail, Words With Friends HD (now that they fixed it), and Echofon. Don't use the AIM app, so can't comment on that. Sounds like maybe it's just that app that's having push issues?

Man my AIM Ipad app still is not pushing to me. I dont know what else to try at this point. I have to keep the app open to get my IM's.

on IM+ apps, i get push notifications but on email, i have to go to my mail app before i recieve any new mail. seems weird...

While it's an iphone app, not specifically an iPad app, the Comcast app doesn't correctly support push notifications on the iPad. Gives me a "device not supported" error when I try to turn it on. Can't blame them too much since it is really an iPhone app and works correctly on that.

I use it to alert me to voice mail on my Comcast Digital Voice service.
