Push notifications on unlocked iPhone 2G

Maybe I'm being thick but has anyone got push notifications working on an unlocked iPhone 2G using redsn0w?

I've unlocked mine but can't see the option under Settings to enable them :confused:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
You won't see the push notifications settings until you install a app that has it and through there enable it. Example, install AP Mobile News or Tap Tap Revenge 2. When you open either app it will ask you if you want to receive Push Notifications, hit ok. Then you can close the app and the Push settings would be there :)
 
Thats awesome! I've got the option now after installed Tap Tap 2. Now just to see if it works, if anyone fancys a game my profile is zalion

No push for me

Push is not working for me. I'm jailbroken/unlocked on TMo on the iphone 2g. I've tried it in the new beejive, AP and TapTap and nothing.
Is anyone else having push bugs on TMo?
 
I have the same problem, but my phone was already activated (legit AT&T account)... I suppose redsn0w hacktivated anyway. Bah.

same setup and same issues here and I was really looking forward to push notifications!
Just have to be patient and wait for dev-team again
 
Glad I found this thread - I've been pulling my hair out trying to get Push Notifications working on my Wife's unlocked 2G: I was explaining to her how Beejive will be much better than SMS and then it didn't work :D
 
Same here phil same here LOL. but now i lost all the hair so i switched on my pubes!! JK

Well now at least we know that it's a problem with the redsn0w and they're gonna fix it. So we'll wait dudes!.

I thought iwas the only one with this problem, wherever i go and ask and read comments all happy about the push and i'd get a really sad face! i gotta admit iphone turned me into a geek!

So glad i'm not alone in this!
the dev team should post a message to warm people of this problem.
I hope they have time to fix it
 
This is what I did. I had an old ATT sim card laying around my friend gave me when he sold his iphone to me. Its not activated. I put the ATT sim card in when I restored AND Jailbroke the phone. It kept telling me "Waiting for activation." Once I installed ultrasn0w and restarted I had my Tmobile Sim in and it said "iPhone has been activated." I was scared the ATT sim card got activated so i put it back and it said No service. Then I installed AIM and got Push Notification to work =)

You have a 3G doesn't you?
Because ultrasnow is for 3G
the problem I think is only for 3g phones
 
I found this. Gonna try it later when I can get my hands on an ATT sim.
Anyone else get it working on a 2g phone?
 
restored my 2G with a ATT sim installed then popped in a t-mobile sim and push still isnt working. Just have to wait for the dev team to figure it out
