As you all know, recently people have found different ways to get their gmail pushed to the iPhones/iPod touches. However, like many users, we are not at all satisfied with the solutions so far. They either require running a background process with your computer or the app just does not work very well if at all (not mentioning names here).

Therefore, we have decided to build an app to push Gmail ourselves. The app is currently about 80% complete. Most of the remaining work is UI related. We already have an internal round of beta test and so far the push is working very well! In fact, it's so fast it's even faster than the gmail web UI. We often get the notification on phones before it even shows up in the web inbox!
.....
Thank you, we can't wait to get your feedback and launch this app on the appstore :)

I am interested as well!

Actually I found a UDID app on the app store for those not at home near iTunes you may wanna download one of those to get the UDID.

...and why do you need the UDID?

It's needed when a developer wants to beta test an app before its out on the app store. Its so that the app can ONLY specifically run on the designated hardware the developer has approved.

Keeps people from pirating apps.

Hi,
I am interested in your beta test and have participated in beta testing before. I have PM'ed you with the info. Thanks, Paul

I'd be interested in trying it if you're still needing people.

Will it be pushing mail to my mail app, or does it push to your app?

Also interested. if he's asking for the UDID it's because this is how you can use a beta of an app. This is how i've done it for a few i've tested.
