Putlocker virus?

I'm sorry if I am posting in the wrong place.
I tried to watch something on Putlocker and appear to have downloaded a Chrome/extension or posisbly a virus. I keep getting Chrome pop ups (the ones that slide from the side and you can press close or more. From www5.putlockers.net

I am quite clueless with these things so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I can attach a screen shot but am not sure how to do this?
Does anyone know either what this is or how to stop/ remove it?

Download & run MWB for Mac: https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac/

Remove anything it finds. Then install an AdBlocker.

Try running the free Malwarebytes
You can also clear your cookies, etc on the browser and check your extensions

Delete that extension and clean cookies, temp, junk folder. If you have some more without your permission installed then delete all. After this should be good to go.
