I've been in the unlocking/jailbreaking game since day 1. I'm just wondering which one is considered "more stable?"

My friend's iPhone 3G rarely can get a GPS lock... Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't... Just wondering if its the method I used to unlock it and if the other is better...?

Thanks

I stayed at 3.0.1 so I last used Pwnage Tool. It's all I've ever used and have never had issues after jailbreaking. I've heard Blackra1n is fine, but some folks report WiFi issues after using it.

try redsn0w 0.9 (beta), had no problems after restoring with 3.1.2 and unlocking with blacksn0w. Cannot comment on blacksn0w as i do not require it!!

there are known issues with the GPS sadly you are not alone there!!

in my experience, all of my friends who have used blackra1n to jb, their sb will go into safe mode and error out way more frequently than my pwnagetool jb. However, this could also be related to the fact that I have a 3Gs, and all of my friends who have used blackra1n have the original 3g. Not to mention that if you have a late 3gs, you are going to be tethered with blackra1n or redsn0w.

pwnage tool also lets you customize the restoration .ipsw file way more by adding cydia sources and packages right into the .ipsw file so you can just set everything up once if you really want, then if you ever have problems you can do a restore to that ipsw file and you will still have all of your stuff from cydia without having to go through the pain of redownloading it!

Stability of the application is not really an issue when you're talking about an app you run only once. I will say that I have heard of far fewer problems with phones jailbroken with PwnageTool than with blackra1n. I would also highly recommend redsn0w.
