Perhaps I did something incorrectly?

The steps I followed:

I hooked the 3G up to to my mac
iTunes said there was an update
I downloaded it ONLY (it goes to library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates)
Opened Pwnage 2.0.2
Set to Expert mode
Click iPhone 3G
Chose the ipsw
Turned off the custom logos, left everything else default
Built the firmware
Did the DFU dance
Option clicked the restore button in iTunes
Chose the new ipsw
Loaded it up
Loaded the backed up settings from the iTunes

So now I have my 3G which appears to be jailbroken and everything is working fine except I have no service? This was previously a perfectly legit ATT iPhone.

BTW I've preformed this exact process twice and ended up with the same results. I'll attempt to load the stock 2.0.1 firmware tomorrow unless someone can point out what I've done wrong. I'm not too worried since everything other than service is working fine.

When creating the custom ipsw you have to uncheck activate the phone under the general tab in expert mode. Should be fine after that.
