Q on ordering/shipping from apple.ca

Got a couple of questons for Canadians on the ordering and shipping from apple.ca. When I order the macbook, do I printout an official receipt from the website right then? Also, how long does it usually take to actually receive the computer after ordering? We'll get reinbursed for the cost of a computer up to $1500 but it has to be purchased in the next few days, hense the need for a reciept now.

We did buy a Thinkpad from staples.ca Thursday, but the damn thing didn't arrive yesterday like it was supposed to, so we decided to give macbook a try despite all the problems people seem to be having with them.

I did a similar thing a couple of years ago with my 12" PB. I just printed a pdf of the webpage that came up with my billing info saying that I paid. Also they (apple) sent an email with more complete billing information so I printed that one up as well and I didn't have any problems with it. I can't remember how long it took to get. I think I got it sent to the university though, so that delayed things a couple of days (damn uni mail).
(Mine was BTO so it was a ~10 days if I remember correctly)

I got mine in exactly 1 week. Ordered on a Monday, had it in my hands the very next Monday. And when you purchase something from apple.ca, you can print off the receipt and it'll be fine. They also send several emails with billing information, so you can always print those off as well.

Almost went back to the Thinkpad, but Staples screwed up the order again, so I just ordered the Macbook. Hope all goes well, because I'm a hard person to please.

I ordered the Macbook and iPod on the 26th, got an email a short time after saying the iPod shipped but when I check the tracking today, the shipper's website says they haven't received it. Is this just typical track number screwiness? Also, my Macbook hasn't shipped yet. Need that "official receipt" by Friday or I'm screwed.

did you print out the invoice as suggested?

how long ago did you receive shipment notification? it's quite common for it to take a full day or so for the tracking info to show anything useful, so don't worry just yet.
