Steve announced the iTunes store is going to expand to 62 countries, which is basically the countries that are getting the iPhone 3G for the AppStore. We obviously don't get any content like Music or Movies.

But the App Store in Qatar is incomplete. Categories such as Games aren't there and half of the apps aren't there. So you cant download all the cool apps.

I emailed jobs's public email about it without reply, now i'll try phil. Does anyone have any idea about this? Will I ever play Need For Speed on my iPhone in Qatar?

Clarification please?

You should simply be able to make a Apple Store US account and log into it using iTunes instead.

Dosen't Work

That's how I buy stuff of the Apple Online Store. But with iTunes your address has to match the credit card's address. And I obviously have a qatari address with my credit card. Another one is that when buying from the US iTunes store you have to be in the US. But that's not a problem cause my school uses a internet connection from the US.

Any other ideas?

Thanks

I can't remember any links but if you look around there are online sites that sell US iTunes gift vouchers, they then email you the code and you just find a US address to sign up with. I always do it.

1. The developers decide where to publish apps not Apple. I am not sure, but if Qatar has restrictive laws, developers may not want to go there.

2. You can create a US account and use US iTunes gift cards purchased on eBay.

Just did #2 and worked perfectly. Cheap movie rentals finally.
