Qik not Upgrading to latest version - please help.

Hey guys have already searched this forum and the net and no help anywhere.
My problem is that qik (cydia version) will not update to the latest version; I'm on 3.0 jailbroken and I can't get the 4.xx version. My wife has same 3gS as me and same fw BUT she has latest version of qik off cydia.
I have deleted my old app, rebooted device then downloaded latest version. It gave me the old version despite it being downloaded as 4.xx. Even used ifile to delete all qik folders after uninstall but nothing works. Please advise - before anyone says to upgrade I won't be doing that as all other jailbreak versions are subpar and have issues that 3.0 does not have. :)

Do you have the correct repo/source added or in Cydia.

When you search for Qik, do you find version 4.28 ?

Did you try the iTunes version 4.32, it's also free.
 
Hi yeah I find the latest version in cydia and download it/install it. But it just gives me the old version. Is there some file I can add or delete to allow the update it? I'm perplexed lol.

Isn't the AppStore version not live streaming tho?

You would have to read the description in iTunes. Apple is allowing all sorts of streaming apps now, like UStream, so my guess is it works the same as the Cydia version, but I don't know for sure.

You could always try it and if you don't like it, remove it.
 
Have finally solved this problem and managed to get latest cydia version of qik upgraded.
I went in to ifile then searched and deleted all files with "qik" in it. Then I searched and deleted a file/folder called "quick.app".

Works a treat. :)
 
I'm having issues finding the jailbroken version of Qik at all. It does not seem to be in the Cydia store. I was wanting to try it as I understand it has features not in the App Store version...such as the chat window not being disabled.

Only the Cydia version does live streaming, App store does not.

Use this link...once the page opens, click Save As (Qik_4.28.deb)

Install thru SSH or iFile
