Since upgrading to OS4 on my iPhone 3G, my Qik Video app won't open up and just keeps crashing. I can't get a reply from Qik about this issue. I probably have about 10 videos in the app and hate to lose them, so I don't want to delete it and try installing the app again to see if it will work. Any suggestions?

Found this about the issue. Qik claims they are working on a fix for those of us that had purchased the first version. But there is no release date. The newer version in iTunes, seems to produce lower quality video.

I am really disappointed about this as well. I just sent them an email (not that they probably care) about why I should trust them buying another app when they abandon all their previous customers. Just seems sleezy to me...

I was able to get my Qik videos out of the iTunes backup of my iPhone by using a program called iPhone Backup Extractor. It's free but you can only get one backup at a time, or you pay $25 for all the features. The free version worked great for me and am glad I was able get all my videos back.

I am not happy about Qik releasing a replacement for their Qik Video app, just so it will work with OS4. Funny how they expect me to purchase the app all over again, especially since it records in a lower resolution video.
