2 quick questions about the beta for iPadOS


Does iPadOS allow for changing file extensions (e.g. .txt or .zip) in the Files app? I believe previous versions until now have only allowed for file name changes but do not let you change extensions.

Can you open .rar files natively in the Files app or just Zip files?

The filename extension behavior is quite annoying imo. Should be an option to show and manage extensions.

I imagine their reason for this is, "It would be to confusing to customers and take the magical experience out of our courageous iPad."
