I think phone/tablet hybrids are retarded. They're surf boards in your pocket.

I'm surprise people are still closed minded enough to not be able to recognize the use for this device and the demographic it's being marketed too. Sad really, especially considering how well the first one did.

I can't wait for my contract to be up. I am either going to get the Note II or Nexus.
Goodbye Apple :(

The note is really a great device.
People that say things like its too big and you can't pocket it are either misinformed or prejudice about anything other than an iPhone.
Once you actually use it, its really hard to go back to an iPhone.
Many previous iphone users including myself have changed over and have been happy with a much bigger phone.
My friends who are iPhone fanatics all became very interested in the Note after I showed them that you can do everything the iPhone can do while viewing on a larger screen. They were impressed and are considering getting the new note when its released. But I do know it will be hard for them to escape the Apple marketing hype.

Oh you must wear skinny jeans because all the reviews I've seen show that it is pocketable

No no skinny girly jeans here, I just have no need for such a huge device that require two hands to confidently and comfortably use. I'm sure if the actual Kindle was a phone people would justify that and its size all the same.

Most jean pockets are about 6' in width and 7' in depth (non-skinny jeans) so yes any phone at or under those deminsions can 'fit' in your pocket.

With my rear seats folded down I can fit a sheet of plywood in my car, that in no way mean I want to drive around with one in my car everyday.

To each his own...

The Note II is huge. I'm not going to get it. But I can't disagree it's going to be an awesome phone, specs wise. You'd be surprised how BIG phones attract a lot of customers.

I'd love to see a iPhone 5 vs Note II comparison soon.

I tried an original Note in my pocket and it was fine. Sitting in the car or whatever might suck but I always take my phone out anyway. I really thought about a Note II, but in the end it was the downsides of Android and the upsides of staying with iOS that made me decide to get an iP5 instead.

If it was a nexus with guaranteed updates I would have wait for it.

As is I am now nexus 100% for my mobile devices.

The note isn't that useless idea that the unthinking apple fans likes to think. It's great for people who like big screens. It very popular with the Koreans in Toronto as a mobile gaming device on the subway. Compared to all the people putting their 3.5 inch retina screen 5 inches from their face for games or videos the note makes a lot of sense if you are only going to have 1 device. The pen's useful too but personally I'd prefer it to come on a bigger tablet sized device like the note 10.1.

As for pockets. With most slacks I can fit the 7 inch nexus 7 in my pockets. So the note's not that big pockets wise :)

Well its all preference, at least we have choices. Want a huge screen, android, want a smaller screen, iPhone.
