I found a seller getting rid of his nMP Quad Core that was Apple upgraded to 16gb RAM w/Applecare for $2836 shipped and no tax. Wondering if I should jump on this. He says it's only a few weeks old and Applecare will cover it through 2017.

I use FCPX to edit and currently use a 2.3ghz i7 Mac Mini for my work, but it's feeling like a bit laggy since the FCPX 10.1.2 update during background rendering and I'm doing larger and larger projects. I was considering a higher end iMac but didn't want to go the BTO route so I can avoid the insanely high sales tax in Cali and still find a way to get some financing.

Any advice? Is this Macpro worth buying at this price? I've been looking into getting one but am hesitant to pull the trigger.
Thanks!

^^^^Yes, that's what the OP said. I would say No on the purchase. You can buy it here, brand new for $2963 here:

Shipped with no sales tax.

I also got 12 months of no interest financing on it... and 3 years of Applecare (value of $250)

Just checked that site... damn... that place is pretty sweet. Been looking for someplace that does that with no interest credit cards and tax free. Thanks!
