Is anyone own this graphic card? It is pretty noisy since I installed it, would like to know if it's had a way to cool down that noise.. I guess not but who know, I'm trying.

In Windows you can monitor card's temps and set fan speed to compromise between noise and temperature.
Check 3rd party coolers too, such as ProlimaTech MK-13 Scythe Setsugen VGA edition (these 2 will fit for sure, but maybe you'll be able to find other ones).

Quadro 5000 & 6000 are both quieter and faster. And only a few hundred more $$$.

Get what you pay for. But they both require 2 slots of width for their fans.

Well, does it works on Mac Pro? As far as I understood, only the Quadro models for Mac, worked on Mac Pro.

You need to have 10.8.0+. This has native support for the new nvidia cards. 600 and 5000 and 6000 should work out of the box. My 670 works like a charm. didn't do a thing but intall it.

I'm pretty surprised here. If I know I'd had buy these cards instead..

The Quadro k5000 is for the MacPro. My Quadro 4000 is pretty quiet. If you can control the fan speed via software this fan will keep it cool

Also if it's plastic on plastic fan "noise" at high speed, lube those parts with high speed bearing grease using a small brush.

We have Quadro 5000 and Quadro 6000 for Mac Pro with full boot EFI and PCIE 2.0 support for OSX and Windows.

They are both quieter and faster than Quadro 4000.

We also have Tesla 2050 and 2070 for Mac, these are basically the same as above, but missing the DisplayPort and Stereo 3D outputs.
