Hi, for little over 4 weeks I own a IPP 12.9 and SKF. Due lockdown, I‘ve only used the SKF in house.
However, there is already serious wear on the keyboard. Do other also experience this?

I expect to have a faulty SKF as I also experience frequent keyboard disconnects. Will see if this can be returned under warranty.

As follow-up to my post. I contacted Apple support and they acknowledged the issue. Received my replacement SFK today. Great! Fingers crossed it’s more durable.

Woohoo finally, been wanting to get a leather wrap for my SKF. Also looking at your wear, its interesting the corners are doing that. Looking at my iPad Pro, those edges don’t even touch my ipad. Good thing you got it replaced!

Ive had mine for a month, and so far all good. However when i first received my SKF, i did notice leftover glue all over the edges. At first i thought it was a defect, but upon scratching and peeling, i can clearly see it was just extra glue. Also there was some on the keyboard. After peeling the leftover glue, everything looked perfect.

Some additional thoughts on the Sopiguard stickers. You have LESS grip, the (or this particular) skin makes the case slippery, easily sliding across flat surfaces. Not a big issue but something to keep in mind.

A bigger issue is the quality of the sticker for the IPP 12.9 it self (haven’t made pictures, might do later). The corners do not attach properly (too large). This makes the sticker prone to peeling off by accidentily catching the corners with your fingers.

Furthermore, I feel ripped off by Sopiguard due to them billing me shipping twice (once for each product). I asked beforehand to package everything in one box so to only have to pay shipping once. For some reason this wasn’t possible but I decided to give the product and company a try anyway. Upon receiving the product, it was all packaged nicely in one box but still charged twice. Since I live in the EU shipping cost are significant, especially compared to product price. So I feel had by Sopiguard on this aspect (since they charge costs they don’t make).

I would think the shipping rate might be based on weight, so a double weight package would cost more to ship from California to Europe. Was your expectation that the shipping cost would be the same as a single package? Will you be contacting them to ask about it?

True. However, keep the in mind its just a couple of stickers nothing more. So weight increase is negligible. Didn’t even come shipped in “official” product packaging. Just a plain box with 4 rolled up sticker sheets. Which is be absolutely fine for me, but I do expect reimbursement for this cost effective shipping. Which I what is asked for pre-delivery and now again post delivery.
