Hey guys,

I'm a PC user, but with the Intel Macs and all I'm thinking of switching over. I want to get a Macbook Pro but I'm worried about some of the stuff I read. Apparently some people are having trouble with a strange whining noise and another guy had has power adapter catch on fire. It seems like version one is always a big problem with Apple, so if I have a major hardware problem will they stand behind it?

Also I might need a little help adjusting, how good is Apple with software support...I'm thinking of getting AppleCare just not sure if it's worth the extra money.

Thanks

With AppleCare, you can wait until almost the end of the one-year warranty to buy it.
I agree here...if you don't have the cash now, you can delay purchasing this until later.

Also, when it is time to buy, buy AppleCare on eBay. Way cheaper.
Here...I can't disagree more...is it really worth the risk? There are so many stories of people getting it and finding out it has already been activated for another machine...I wouldn't do it myself.
