I have a problem importing pictures in Quark 7. Press Apple E and the default folder Quark looks in is the Documents folder in the HDD. In Quark 6.5 you could navigate to a specific folder and it would remember to look for more images in the new folder.
However in Quark 7 you can only import 2 images from a new folder, then Quark decides to revert back to looking in Documents. This is really annoying as every third picture I import I have to keep navigating out of Documents, onto our X Serve and through several job subfolders back to the correct folder Quark is supposed to remember.
Does anyone happen to know a workaround to this problem? Has Quark released an update to fix this bug issue?
Many thanks

First of all, whenever QuarkXpress is mentioned, I have to say InDesign knocks it's socks off and is well worth looking at to solve a lot of frustration. I have to use QuarkXpress every day and have done for years, when really I love InDesign for its ablility to solve a lot of the porblems Quark creates.

Now, for QuarkXpress, I would check to see if you can upgrade to the latest version of 7 (7.5) and if that has no effect, check out the image drag and drop plugin available here which may provide a useful work-around for you.

Hope that helps...

Hi design-is, that drag and drop plugin is terrific - thanks for telling me about it. It now saves me lots of time.
We use both Quark and InDesign here because some printers we work with prefer Indesign and some still print from Quark. Personally, I would be happy to ditch Quark for good.

Thanks again for the help!
