I have QuarkXpress 6.1 (with the 6.5 update) installed on my Mac Powerbook G4. (Had to reinstall because the software crashed.) Re-downloaded the Full Resolution Preview Extension and placed into my Xtension folder. While it DOES show up as an option, only the LOW resolution option works. I opt for Show Full Res Preview under VIEW menu. When I click on picture and go to the ITEM menu and try to choose the FULL resolution option, nothing happens and of course it looks and prints fuzzy.

HELP!!!

1. make sure you are running 6.5.2 (there was another update).
2. Do you have a high resolution image placed? If it is a low res, it will preview low res.
3. Are you running leopard 10.5.x? If so, quark 6 isn't supported under leopard. If that is the case, either upgrade to Quark 7/8 or InDesign.

It prints fuzzy? Sounds like a low res image or it can't find the image. Go to Utilities/Usage... and check to see if the image is still linked.

Thank you for your input- especially Midwestern input, I'm from WI originally.
Anyway, I will update to 6.5.2, but in the mean time, I went into preferences and fuzted around and unchecked the box so that full res would show at open and that seemed to do the trick! I was using eps Illy filles and I knew it had to work because it did before the crash!!!
Thanks!!!
