Hi,

I have a Samsung EVO 128gb SD card. I have a mac (Catalina). I want to have write ability (so i can delete files easily from SD card). The SD card is formatted 'exfat' already

Here is what my SD Card File details are: https://ibb.co/mh5WHy7

Here is the 'error' when i try using disk utility: https://ibb.co/hsHNspK

I only have a MAC (no access to PC) -- how do I enable write ability? Thank you!
Sorry, I don't click on unknown links.. If you attach and post the picture here we could see. exFAT format should work fine on Mac OS, especially if you're going to go between Mac and PC. If you are going to use it exclusively on Mac, I would format as a Mac format of some sort depending on your needs. MacOS extended-journaled, APFS, etc. Personally, depending on what's on it, I would also encrypt it if using exclusively on Mac. What is the issue?

Hi attached files :)
Issue is I cannot WRITE when i plug my SD card into my Mac book pro - i can only READ.
As a result, I will eventually get to a point where I prob have 100s of pictures on my SD Card and if i want to delete specifics photos - i would have to manually on my camera (GH5) vs easily on my computer

Ok, so it's used in a camera... Interesting you can't delete things on the Mac.. As long as the write enable/disable switch that's usually on SD cards is enabled, I would think it would work.. I've never messed with exFAT myself.. I'll have to try it and see. I'm pretty sure any camera I've used in the past was fat32 but I never had a Mac back when I used an actual camera...lol. Been using iPhone exclusively for years now.. I might see if I can mess with one in the future. I'm going out of town this week so won't be able to do anything too soon. Maybe someone else will pipe in while I'm gone, or you can do more research and find something.. Good luck. I'll check in when I get back.
