Question about 10 tries of iPhone password

My youngest apparently mistyped her password when creating a new password (yes, twice). She has guessed at 9 of them and only has one shot left. I'm not sure if erase all data is on but we did do a fresh iCloud backup this afternoon.

What should I expect at the 10th incorrect attempt if erase all data isn't on?

Has the phone alredy been locked out for progressively longer period of times after some previous incorrect attempts?

The time will get to the point of millions of minutes to wait. Just erase it, and restore from backup. Passcode will be gone, but any restrictions passcodes will remain.
