Other Question about adding an iPhone 12 Pro as a favorite in the Apple App ahead of preorder night

Two questions, I will be paying for the iPhone 12 Pro in full when I go through the purchase process on the Apple Store App when preorders go live this Friday, I have AT&T as my carrier,

What I don’t understand is this:

Is it better to pick the AT&T version or the “Sim-Free” version? in terms of availability on pre order night and getting a guaranteed release day delivery? Does it matter?
and my second question is this, should I pick “Activate my iPhone” or “Buy a new iPhone” in the selection screen when configuring the iPhone 12 Pro?
