Does anyone know how strict adobe is with registering student version of adobe creative 4? do they really check the school?
My friend bought the package and she changed her mind and wants to give it away!

They will probably ask you for your school when you buy it on the high street, or on their online store, but when it gets to registering the product on your computer, I don't think you'll get asked what school your at.

The check is done after purchase, in order to get a valid serial number. They'll normally ship the discs straight away, with a form in the box to fill in and send back with proof of student status.

Actually, during the registration process of SLO's at some point you will receive the prompt to enter your school information, but they aren't that strict. Once you have the disc in your hand, it's already paid for and proof of purchase by the student showing her ID is complete... You can now register it in your name, as long as she didn't register it in her name already. Once the SLO software is registered, you'll always see the school's name on software page as it opens up at the very beginning... :)
