since there is no optical drive I was reading that you use a pc or mac cd drive to install software on a MBA can someone be so kind to explain to me how this works.

since there is no optical drive I was reading that you use a pc or mac cd drive to install software on a MBA can someone be so kind to explain to me how this works.

1. You can hook up an optical drive via USB (Apple offers one as an option)
2. You can put the disk into a Mac or PC and share the drive on your network
3. You don't need a disk. Most apps are distributed over the internet.

And Apple offers the recovery 'disks' as a USB flash drive now:

Ya like for example if i wanted to install sc2 on my MBA i would have to add the CD Drive from Imac to my network then share it with my MBA to install?
