Question About AirPlay Mirroring?

When using the Apple TV to mirror your Macbook Pro's display to a HDTV is the resolution of the 13" Pro (1280x800) the max resolution you can get on the tv?

I am wondering this because I don't think it looks great at the moment, screen is very blurry and doesn't look right.

Is using a HDMI cable and adapter the best way to get 1920x1080 on the HDTV?

My MBA mirroring on my 46" Samsung looks just as good as my screen on my MBA does from about 15" (where my couch is with MBA on my lap). I throw streaming shows up on my TV all the time.

Depending on your router speed and all the best resolution and least lag will most likely come from a hard connection though if you are really that worried about it.

It depends on which AppleTV you own. If you have an AppleTV2 then your max display resolution will be 720p, AppleTV3 is capable of 1080p. If you bought your AppleTV within the last 6 months than you likely have an AppleTV3, anything before that is the older model.

I have the ATV3 but the AirPlay mirroring definitely isn't 720p. The screen isn't close to being sharp.

Any suggestions to fix this?
