Hello, I am new to the forum and was wondering if anyone could help me understand.

I've been using Airpods 2 gen for years and finally decided to upgrade to Airpods 4 ANC. I bought "Used - Like New" from Amazon Resale for $150.00. They came today, in perfect condition, however, when I connected them it said that they were linked to the previous owner's Apple ID(see screenshot below).

After a quick Google search, I hard reset them by triple double tap. It all works fine now, I was able to add them to "Find My" as well. My question is: will the original owner be able to see the location of the Airpods? I called Apple support, the guy told me that after I added them to my "Find My", the original owner not only won't be able to see the location - it won't even show up on his devices anymore... I doubt that tbh... Can someone explain? Maybe I should return them...

I love them otherwise...

If you reset them successfully and they are now under your Apple ID, you are good to go. No worries, enjoy!
