Other Question about apple care and screen replacements

If I crack my phone screen and have Apple care+, can I use express shipping and get a new phone while my other phone is getting fixed?

Also what happens/if/when my phone is fixed, do they ship my old one back and I return the "possible loaner phone" or is the replacement phone my new phone?

one more question, is there and added cost for express shipping? Or do I just pay the cost of the screen repair?

I did try to read on the apple website but it was a bit unclear to me.

Apple sent us a box which arrived the next morning. Put the phone in and sent it back which they had a day later. They not only repaired the screen but also decided some other issues were going on and they replaced the logic board and battery even though we only sent it in for screen replacement. Going above and beyond!

We never did pay any shipping. And we didn't ask for a loaner.
