Question about Apple Music and Travel

Hello,

I just subscribed to Apple Music. I actually kinda like it but I had one question. In a day - 2 I’m traveling outside USA to Different countries like India, China and Nepal. Would this service work while I m there? I have 3 months subscription.

Atleast will I be able to play already downloaded music from Apple Music?

I believe you can play downloaded music for up to 30 days before it needs a connection confirmation. You will need to download all you want to listen to before you leave the US.

No, it will work normally regardless of where he is - he'll still have access to the normal (his native) library. Obviously this depends on internet access (which is ubiquitous in India), and offline he'll only be able to play what he's downloaded.

Can confirm you're both right but approaching from different perspectives. In summary:

If OP is never planning to connect to the internet they'll face issues playing back downloaded content after 30 days. Native Apple Music library can be accessed at all times as long as OP does have internet, and can access it in perpetuity. I used UK apple music in China for the entirety of the 3 month free trial before signing up for the Chinese one.

In that case it'll work exactly like it does at home. I'd recommend turning off streaming over mobile data though for obvious reasons.
