Hi

For Apple TV to stream media from itunes or for wireless mirroring etc, does your computer, iphone and apple tv need to be on the same wireless network? or can you have them on seperate wireless networks in the same home?

basically my problem is apple tv is downstairs .. router upstairs ..... and wireless mirroing is choppy ... i want to get a wireless homeplug to solve the issue .. but that would create a new wireless network ... so would it still work if say the phone was on the original network and apple tv connected to the new one.

Yes, all devices involved in streaming (sources and destinations) must be on the same network.

Bridge them together within the router and you'll be OK.
