I'm getting my first iPad pro (12.9) this week and I've ordered a case and other accessories for it online. My mum went out and bought me a temporary case until the other case I ordered arrives. Its a rotating case with a circle at the back.

My question is, do these types of cases scratch the back of ipads easily? The circle feels kind of sharp.. I don't know how else to explain it but I'm worried it will scratch the back of the device.

If you still have the plastic that came with the iPad. Put that on until you get your case. Or clean the case and iPad before attaching it.

Another option to protect the rear panel of the iPad is to get some thin clear automotive film off of eBay. It's used to protect the front end of cars and areas like headlights. It's not expensive. You can cut a shape out of the film that will protect the rear panel from the case and you should be good to go.

I would however question the general quality of any case that you are fearful might actually damage the product it was designed to protect!
