Hello,

Bit a of newbie question here, but will a cider/wine wrapper typically work with the Steam version of a game, or will it only work with the standalone version?

My immediate thought is re: Skyrim, but applies to other games as well.

I've typically used Bootcamp for PC games, but am interested in cider/wine wrappers. Any help would be appreciated.

Steam works in wine, but not cider.

If you wanna play a steam game in cider you have to crack it.

There are Cider hack wrappers around that run Skyrim rather well... and Skyrim is a steam only game.. even if you buy the DVD it still goes through steam.
