Question About Component/VGA Extension Cables --

Hello. I was wondering where and what I should buy in order to extend the short Xbox 360 component or VGA cables that come with the console. I just got an HDTV and it is on my wall, but both the VGA and component cables I have are way too short because I guess they expect your 360 console to be near your HDTV.
I am estimating I will only need about 20 feet to go from my HDTV to my console. I have a few questions though. Will I lose any quality by extending either Component or VGA cables this far? Where's the best place online to buy these? Thanks.

to answer you question yes there is always a signal degration in a cable.

The question of how much you lose I dont know. The VGA one will suffer more per foot than the componant one. Will it be noticible maybe on the VGA. Componate I want to say is good up to like 100 ft like svideo.

As for cost 20ft VGA is going to cost a pretty penny. VGA cables are not exactly chip.

VGA is touchy. You can get a signal amplifer (usualy coupled with a spliter). It might be a good Radio Shack purchace if you need it. Part of the VGA signal is digital, timeing pulses, and part of it analogue, so with the former it's a question of meeting a signal threashold, and with the later, it's a question of distortion of the signal. You should be fine at 20 feet though.

You should be ok with VGA. Composit tends to be washy- that's just my opinoion. You could convert the VGA- S-video, which your HD-TV should take. S-video, should not degrade as much with the distance.

You might also look into ultra thin cables, to run under the carpet, if that's how your doing it.

Thanks for your help but I think I can only hook up my 360 via Component cables. Can one of you guys help me find a component video extension cable? I need about 20 feet.
