Question about deleting files..

I downloaded Adobe for Mac and I could not use it, it was inoperable so I dragged the icon to the trash and it was gone.

Now I have to ask is it deleted forever? How do I delete it off my system forever??

What do I need to look for?

With most apps, all you have to do is drag the icon from the Applications folder (or wherever you put it) into the trash. I'm not sure if the specific app that you were wanting to use has files elsewhere, though.
