My husband and I bought an iMac and are trying to figure out how to share it... we created two accounts both with admin privileges. but when i put new software onto my account, it didn't show up on his?

we were thinking about not having different accounts, but then don't know if we can sync two iPhones to one account.

anyone have any ideas?

Each user folder has their own home strcuture of folders, you will need to install the apps into the applications folder that is not specific to any user.
Other option is that you use an alias of the application that is missing in your user's app folder or simply drag its icon to the dock.
You need to check the other's user applications folder permissions, right click on it and select get info (command+i) or via the File Menu in the Finder.
Then click on the padlock icon enter your admin password and change the access privileges so the other user can read, write and execute all.
