So installed dock and poof the other day and when i tried to hide everything my 1st gen crashed. come to find out that hiding the icon for "dock preferences" is what makes it crash. So now it sucks that that ugly icon is the only thing on my screen. I have the ipod, safari, and dtunes icons in the dock on the bottom so my question is, is there a way to change the icon for "dock preferences" to be blank so that i am not acually hiding it so my ipod wont crash.

How about you uninstall this "dock preferences" and install SBSettings -- no icon, just swipe the status bar to invoke the app.

i uninstalled poof actually. I wanted "dock" because i wanted a clean blank screen and with dock i slide up from the corners to reveal the apps i hid in poof. I did end up install sbsettings and that work except now everything i try to install from installer or cydia isnt shwoing up now
