Hi all...

When I am downloading a document using Safari, earlier (on 12.xx), I could save it to my Onedrive (or anywhere else I wanted to). with iPadOS, it saves to iCloud, which I don’t use. I went through Settings>Safari to change the download target, but it seems I can’t change the download location.

What am I missing? Is there anywhere or any way I can change the down target destination?

Thanks.

edit: so now I can’t open an ePub document from OneDrive into the Books app? What’s going on?

On my Settings - Safari - Downloads, I'm given the option of iCloud Drive, On My iPad or Other...

Albeit the "Other..." doesn't seem to work with other apps/services just yet. Well, Dropbox and Documents by Readdle are greyed out and those are pretty much the only ones I use regularly.

thanks. Exactly the same on my iPad. The only thing is I only use OneDrive!

Ok. I think I have figured it out OR it was just added with the 13.1.1 update which I installed a bit earlier today.

The method is as follows:

Once a PDF loads into Safari, tap the “upload” tab (its the one right beside the address/ url box to the right). Swipe down to the extreme right and tap “more”. This will open up a box with two categories (“favourites“ and “suggestions”). From the Suggestions category you will find a list of apps that you can add to the “favourites “ category. In my case, I added Books, PDF Expert and OneDrive to the list. Press done. Now when you want to upload the PDF (or ePub or Word) document, you just have to tap on the upload tab and the options will appear.

Note that this was not available in the 13.1 release.

Edit: The above said, you still cannot direct Safari directly to add other download destinations through Settings. Probably will be available in subsequent updates to iPadO.

Ok....my last post is now invalid. This is after the 13.1.2 update and the most recent OneDrive update. I wish both Apple and MS got their act together. This is making my device useless!!
