I want to be able to stream everything that’s on my iMac to my iPhone.

I see you can do this by enabling file sharing in macOS.

Just wanted to confirm that nobody else will have access to my files.

Can someone else on the wifi network gain access to my PC or be able to see my files?

Thanks.

File sharing only shares a few directories, not everything that is on your Mac.

Streaming just in your home or remotely?
I’m able to access all folders on my iMac from my iPhone when I enable file sharing.

Only question I have is if others can see any of my files as well?

Only streaming in my home. In the same room, actually.

If you did select a username for the shared directory/disk, you need that username and the corresponding password to see your files. Did you have to enter them on your iPhone to see the files on your iMac?

Outside of your home network no one can see your files even with your credentials mentioned above.
You additionally would have to set up a VPN connection or DNS and portforwarding in your router.

Only those that are shared on iCloud, in my case 15 out of 27 folders are shared. None of the folders outside your home are shared.

If your network is secure then you don't have to worry about outsiders.

Are you concerned about people who are on your network?
Yes, I do not want anyone besides myself accessing my computer.

Sorry, your answer is not clear.

Are you concerned about people on your same WiFi network accessing your data? Is your network WiFi or Ethernet?
