What does disabling this switch under system services do in the first image ? Find my is still enabled. Cheers.

What does disabling this switch under system services do in the first image ? Find my is still enabled. Cheers.
If you disable it, you will not be able to track that iPhone nor any accessories connected to it like Apple Watch.

You should also enable Emergency Calls and SOS. Disabling everything might not be ideal esp for features relying on accurate location like Share My Location if you want significant other/relatives to know where you are.

Here is a breakdown of what each do and disable only what is applicable.

Now after messing with it. The Find My iPhone hollow arrow is persistent in the status bar. It was periodic beforek

Indeed, I won’t be able to track the iPhone . So let me rephrase my question, what’s the purpose of having the Find my iPhone switch under system services? They appear to be independent from each other to a certain extent. Meaning, I can have Find My iPhone switch turned on under Find My and have Find My iPhone switch turned off within system services menu. Using the above combination results in the device being depicted as online but not traceable. Isn’t this pointless ?
