Question about going from a 32" Samsung to 42" LG???

I currently have a 32" Samsung Series 5 LCD (full HD), which I got last year. One of the sales at my job this month is a 42" LG 1080 LCD for 550 euros. My dad was going to get it, but its big for our house in the village, so we decided that I would take the 42" D) and he can have my 32". The question I have is aside from the inches, is it worth it? I think Samsung makes the best TVs out their, and while the larger screen would be nice, am I losing THAT much quality? Greece just started getting digital channels, and they look good on both sets, but Im mainly looking to see if their is a difference when playing Blu Ray discs. Thoughts/opinions?

BTW...the model of the LG is 42LF2510.

Nevermind my mistake, it is 1080p but that model number you put is for 32 inch

LG Make good TVs as well. I believe that tv is only 720p though? You might want to check that before you purchase BTW that model number that you put is for a 32 inch version.

Fixed it. The tv is full HD, its 1920x1080. I had an LG when I lived in the States, as it looked better to me than the Samsung, but Samsung has really stepped it up, and they are making great sets. It was originally going to be me going from my 32" to a 40" Samsung LED, but my new 27" iMac got in the way of that, so this seems to be the next best thing. Plus, dad is paying for it, since he needs a TV anyways, so I will be going up 10" for free. God that sounds bad lol. My only concern is whether or not I am going to see any difference when playing blu-rays?

Depends on the tv itself. Of course its going to be a larger screen but its about screen quality too. Best thing to do is try to see if any reviews are out for that TV or go to a local electronics store and see it in action

So I ended up doing the switch, and Im happy with the TV. It plays great. It gives me a good quality, very similar to the Samsung I had. Plus, playing games on it, like NHL 10, is amazing! Here is what my setup looks like in my apartment:

The speakers are a 5.1 set from Logitech, and they sound awesome. Since my apartent is a one bedroom, I decided to go with those from work, instead of a massive Onkyo system (that comes when I get a house). The three speakers are shown, one is to the left, and the other one is behind where we sit to the right. Excellent quality, especially since I got them from my job for only 40 euros.
