Hi,
I am new to Android, using a Nexus 7 32 GB and want to transfer my itunes library to the device. I've already uploaded my main songs to the device via playlist uploads to Google, then "pinning the device" or whatever they call it to save it to the device.

However, now I have approx. 1,600 songs that I don't listen to often but want to have on the device. I'd like to use Android File Transfer since the upload takes so long and the download of mass amounts of files wasn't so seamless for me for some reason.

Will Google's music app (Google Play Music) recognize files I just put into the "Music folder" using Android File Transfer?

Also, any recommendations on how to get Artwork matched better by Google? It has Bruce Springsteen's Greatest Hits cover art on some of my Bob Seger's Greatest Hits songs. I think because Bob Seger isn't available on Google Play Store but Springsteen is.

Finally, any suggestions for a music player like the "Music" app on the iPhone? simple, straightforward, or ones that you longer time users of Android have tried and liked?

Thanks in advance for any help (and yes, I will be "googling it" too) just wondering if there is a quick answer.

I use Poweramp and it's really good, but it's paid. If you want to go down the free route, the MIUI music player is also really good. You can download the apk here and simply run it:

For artwork, go to music manager icon on your computer> Go to music player> Albums> Album you want to change artwork> You will see a small arrow on the bottom right of the album picture, click on this.> edit albuminfo> hover on the album picture> it will say change. You will have had to have saved the correct album art somewhere on your computer, choose that location to change the picture.

Hope that helps.
