iPod Question about Home Sharing

does it only apply to purchased songs? what about songs that you havent purchased from itunes..can you share those too?
 
Works with any song/movie/tv show.

Just drop it into itunes and it'll show up in the Home folder of the other itunes your sharing with.

My gripe is you must be on the same wifi network. I'm at school right now and my home folder isn't in my itunes
