For several version of OSX, I've been frustrated by a particular quirk in the UI.

Why does activating the 'Application Windows' hot corner also cause me to switch between spaces in the direction of the hot corner in question?

I used to use this hot corner function to drag items between finder windows. I would go to the hot corner, hover over the desired finder window to bring it to the front, and then drop. When I try to do this now, I am taken to itunes, which I keep in a seperate space to the right of my desktop.

Is there any way to change this behavior?

Cheers

Not sure if I'm understanding what's happening for you, but I'll take a stab at it.

Try going into Mission Control System Prefs tab and unchecking the "When switching to an application, switch to a Space with open windows for the application" box.
